Although it heartens me to see anti-Bush sentiment slapped on the back of others' bumpers with increased frequency these days, am I the only one that feels so dismayed when this one comes into view?

I mean, it's clever and it's true... but damn, over two more years??? Really, I'm not going to go into a full-fledged rant. I generally keep my political self out of my blog but if ya'll had to live surrounded by those fucking "W: The President" stickers the way I have, perhaps you'd better understand my frustration.

This one, incidentally, is my favorite - it sums up my feelings quite nicely:

At least the satirists and bumper sticker makers will be able to feast on the fodder that is W.

The rest of us have blogging and booze.

If you want to fall into full depression, ask yourself what we have to look forward to. I see nothing on either side of the fence that interests me.

Here, here, Wen! I agree that the 2009 part is dismaying, because we all try to assuage ourselves that the long national nightmare will be over in '08, but I keep hoping for impeachment proceedings to entertain us in the interim.

Though I'm seeing fewer of them every day—and it's about time those bozos begin to feel ashamed of themselves—I'm flabbergasted whenever I see a driver who's kept his original W '04 sticker on display, or, worse still, a driver who's invested in a shiny new badge of support for the administration. Makes me feel like I'm living in Jabberwocky.

Well said. Well said.

I, too am amazed at the amount of time we must endure this man. I find myself shaking my head more and more. No matter what comes out his mouth, it's always repetitious drivvel.

I just cannot stand it. 2009??? Oh how that makes me ache.

Amen, Sister!

I work for The Department of H#*el%*n% S^c&%i#y, and trust me when I tell you, there won't be any weeping when that sorry sonofabitch has to leave town!

It kills me how many people still drive around this geographic vicinity proudly sporting their W stickers. I'm loathe to stereotype but I'll make an exception in this case: most of them appear on SUVs and high-end makes and models of automobiles driven by caucasians.

syd, I hear ya. The prospects for the future do depress me.

Oh, Good! I alghed so hard Fran had to stop her shoot 'em up game to see what I was looking at!

2009 sounds so far off. I keep wondering how much worse it can get, then I realize I don't want to know the answer.

Ain't it the truth? Unfortunately, we will be here to witness this witless moron.

The WTF picture is a riot. I WANT ONE for my car.

Down here in NC the W stickers are everywhere....I cringe when I see someone I know get out of a car that's emblazoned with one.

He makes me sick!
I just don't understand how so many can still like him. I get emails all the time from high school friends from Texas who love the mofo.

Kmae,

You know you understand it... it is because of a lack of critical thinking skills.

I love that "End of an Error" pic. MAN, (pardon the word usage there), what the heck was wrong with this country for 8 LOOONNGGG years? Did we not have taste? Were we too lazy to pull the shit cover out of our eyes and see what was really there? Sure, everyone is starting to come around NOW, but what about us poor folk that knew from the beginning the mess we were entering into? I think we deserve some sort of tax break for that.
