Ticking away the moments that make up a dull daySo, what time is it? It's time to go to bed. We must be up early in order to be on time for our plane to NYC. We have plans to spend time with our friends there. I'm hopeful a good time will be had by all. I'm also looking forward to sharing the experience here on Wannabe, but there'll be time enough for that later. In the meantime, enjoy your weekend.
You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way.
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way.
Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain.
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you.
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.
So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again.
The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older,
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death.
Every year is getting shorter never seem to find the time.
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over,
Thought I'd something more to say.
~Pink Floyd, "Time"
Time does fly - and so shall we.

If there were but world enough and time...
I can't wait to get all the many takes on the NYC bloggerfest. Mostly, I want to know how much the sporks liked it.
wow...I think I missed something when I missed Pink Floyd. Great lyrics. Cut a little too close to home, though.
great post. have a gggrrrrreeat trip! (sez Tony the Tiger)
Enjoy your time. Loking forward to the tales of how time was spent.
The Sporks were arrested for drunken and disorderly conduct. We were so ashamed.
Are the sporks ok? Are they in jail? I'm so worried!
You can't take Sporks anywhere…
Wen, given your proud Texas roots, shouldn't it be "Time's a wastin'"?
And to serenade you home, Sporks just put on DonnaFreakingFargo's "United States of America." Great spoken-word verse in that one!
Too... tired... for... lyrics...
Sporks... safe.
I KNEW you would take care of them.
United States of America, hallelujah I love youuuuu!
Halftime
"If I could save Time in a bottle..." Jim Croce
"Time Enough for Love" Robert A. Heinlein
Gun - I resisted the urge to Google "Time" for a more comprehensive list, but I'm chagrined my own thought processes did not pull "Halftime"!
Sporks showcase forthcoming, Sporks - give us TIME. :)
You've got all the time you and sproks need. They're very young, after all.
