A Simple Question

What's on your keychain?

Mine has the usual collection of house, auto, and office keys, along with the keychain cards for my preferred grocery and pharmacy. The key fob is actually a small patch of leather embossed with the Timberland logo, taken from The Boy's boots back when he wore Tims in high school.

I'm a simple, non-bulky, necessary-or-at-least-sentimental-items-only kinda girl. What about you?

.

Keys:
Home: 6: 1-building, 1-unit, 1-to mailbox, 2-bike locks, 1-padlock to storage unit Ring is a fabric strip with my middle name and one those mountain climber clips.

Work: 10: 1-office bldg 1-office suite 1-my office 1-bldg bathroom the rest; desk, supply cabinet & various file cabinets -And one of thos mountain climber clips.

I hate the jingle jangle-so I clip them, so that they can be tucked into something and stay quiet.

I don't carry around any of those store tags (I carry the cards)--I leave the tags to YL-she has a mountain of stuff cascading off of multiple rings. She makes a lot of noise coming & going.

I have two keychains.

Main one:
Car fob
Car key
House key
Bike lock key
Little blue light thingy--very bright

Other one:
Little Lego adventure girl
Alma Mater 100th anniversary brass commemerative thingy
Current job lanyard that ordered 1000 of for "program spirit" for students, faculty, and staff
1 key master to my building

No tags. I use my phone number at the g-store and make people look me up everywhere else.

I have two keyrings I use regularly.

One is for work. It has about 25 keys on a boring blue plastic scrunchie thing. I only need four of those keys. But it came with the job and I haven't modified what they gave me when I started working there five years ago.

My personal keyring is hefty enough to knock down a mugger should I ever need to. It's on a leash-like fob which makes it easy to find even if it gets buried deeply in the big-ass bag I carry around with me.

Two house keys.
Two car keys.
One key for I don't remember what.
One key for my bike lock that I don't use because I no longer own a bike.
Four store tags: two grocery stores, CVS and PetSmart.

eb, I love that you carry your mother's keyring.

"Leash like fob" is defined as a lanyard from The Boy's college. :)

Ps...the key chain itself is an acrylic heart I got at a local gallery. Very artsy fartsy and all.

And of course eb has no tags on hers because they are all happily on mine and that sort of maintenance is women's work.

I have two key rings clipped together.

I carry them together monday through friday, and separately on the weekends.

Key ring one: key to my car, keys to my wife's car, house key, mail box key, door opener/alarm thing for my car, obligatory ring cards for: Giant, Food Lion, and Harris Teeter.

Key ring two: Office key, old office key, armory key, range key, range storage key, master key for training area, mt old Marine Corps dog tag.

I wear my keys on my belt... they jingl when I walk... sounds like spurs!

- a carabiner clip: incredibly useful...plus it allows me to clip them to my belt loop which makes me ever so dyke-ish.
- car key
- house key: house is never locked so its really pointless (beer is in the bottom fridge drawer...now that you know the house is unlocked all day)
- pocket screwdriver
- some little lightup thingy that ferris gave me when he was little
- dog license tag from 'joosie' (passed in '05)
all accoutrements are purple... which makes me happy.
