We Have Been Betrayed

It's raining. Raining. With the full complement of thunder, lightning, and wind.

I wish the storm had held off long enough for us to get the roof of the shed finished.

I really wish we had finished all of the weatherproofing yesterday instead of this morning.

And I so wish there wasn't still a second shed snickering at us from within its nice cardboard box.

Somewhere (could be Brigadoon) there's a magical place where the weather is EXACTLY right for whatever activity is planned. It was 100 degrees F by the time Scout and I got home from our bike ride at 10:30am. I'd have killed for rain.

I like the idea of a sentient shed.

Ugh, Brigadoon is one of my least fav musicals... but maybe that's more due to the quality of the production I saw (high school).

It was in the nineties here yesterday, and I'm not even going to look at today's forecast. The sentient sheds are mocking, mocking.

I should think Brigadoon would be your least favorite musical even if you saw the romantic leads played by Judy Garland and Jesus (off-off-Broadway).

Damn those snickering sheds!

I'll admit that the musical (in any incarnation, especially high school) lacks a certain something. The legend is cool though.

If the sentient sheds start singing Lerner and Lowe, be worried. Be very worried.

The sun rose on the new day and I am happy to report, THE ROOF IS ON THE SHED.

The second shed, however, is still snickering at us from within its nice cardboard box(es).

eb, don't be depressed. Our mission will be accomplished. ;)

I'm relieved. Once they're both built, they can have their own production of Brigadoon!
